Position

The Director, Isotope Sales is responsible for sales activities related to NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes product(s) and services. The Director, Isotope Sales is responsible for generating and developing opportunities, growing and maintaining product utilization among targeted accounts and potentially other industry companies, healthcare institutions and industry contributors (i.e. key opinion leaders).  This is a unique selling environment that requires sales professionals to effectively learn to navigate the various industry segments.  The Director, Isotope Sales will be held accountable for learning and maintaining a standard level of job knowledge related to their responsibilities and the product(s) and services they promote. The Director, Isotope Sales will represent NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes at venues such as industry trade shows, professional conferences, internal company meetings, etc. The Director, Isotope Sales will represent the company in a professional manner at all times and comply with all legal and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for and pursue new business, negotiate and present contract proposals, and build solid customer advocacy while effectively communicating the value of NorthStar’s products and services.
  • Develop and execute growth centered sales strategies with a thoughtful, strategic focus utilizing available resources in an efficient, cost-effective manner to optimize the process.
  • Develop productive, professional business relationships with all key segments and all key prospective product/service users and purchasing/industry influencers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and create, in conjunction with marketing, key messages and materials that facilitate an effective company image and brand success.
  • Leverage knowledge of influential networks and affiliations (i.e. Medical and Professional Societies) to realize business objectives and expand industry-wide awareness of NorthStar’s isotope(s) and contract manufacturing service offerings.
  • Assume responsibility to maintain and protect market share and achieve a sales forecast while providing the data for internal sales and operational meetings.
  • Communicate and participate in internal meetings with manager and commercial colleagues regarding progress, accomplishments, needs, and key observations related to NorthStar products and services, competitive products/approaches, and market dynamics.
  • Ensure that only approved and current sales materials and messages are used.
  • Conduct all activities within defined expense budget, unless otherwise directed.
  • Attend industry trade shows and association meetings as required.

Ability and willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, up to 50 % of the time.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Health Science, or other related field and ten (10) or more years of proven successful pharmaceutical sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.

 

Preferred Education/Experience:

Experience in the field of nuclear medicine, cell and gene therapy, or contract manufacturing is desirable. Proven experience reviewing, managing, and negotiating proposals and supply contracts.

This position is a remote position requiring frequent sitting, communication, and use of the hands for computer work.  The employee is expected to maintain an appropriate work environment free from hazards.  This includes, but is not limited to, consideration of ergonomics, noise, lighting, ventilation, and risk of injury.  The employee is expected to exercise caution when traveling to and from the Company’s location(s).

 

The company is a radiopharmaceutical manufacturer and radiation may be present in manufacturing and laboratory areas. Employees may be required to be monitored using company provided dosimetry and bioassay testing.

Location

NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes is headquartered in Beloit, Wis. This location is our primary manufacturing site and accommodates all of our corporate functions. Beloit has small city charm, with a lively and renovated downtown, yet is also close to cities such as Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago, and Rockford.

Beloit is a part of the larger South Central Wisconsin/Northern Illinois region, which offers residents and visitors alike a unique blend of urban opportunities and rural, natural beauty.
