Position

The Shipping/Receiving Associate performs duties related to receiving and shipping of equipment, materials and supplies which will include radioactive and hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unpack, count and movement of incoming materials, equipment and supplies in accordance with company procedures.
  • Enter receipts, customer order shipments, and other inventory transactions into ERP system to support all NorthStar facilities.
  • Process returned material from customers using company ERP system and working with Customer Care to resolve any discrepancies. Returns may include handling of radioactive and hazardous materials.
  • Perform cycle counts of finished goods in tandem with material handler team as requested.
  • Pick, pack and shipment of supplies via work orders using GDP guidance.
  • Package, label and create shipment documentation as required to meet demand requirements.
  • Movement of materials, equipment and supplies between warehouses.
  • Pick up and use of company or rental trucks to pick up and deliver between NorthStar facilities.
  • Use Fork Truck as required, upon completion of in house forklift certification program.
  • Perform ID only receipt inspection while following associated standard operating procedures.

Early Development

After 3 months you will:

  1. Understand foundational sGMP and just-in-time radiopharmaceutical principles.
  2. Be fully trained in the safe operation of the electric pallet jack. 
  3. Enter receipts, customer order shipments, and inventory transactions into the ERP system efficiently without errors. 
  4. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Science, and Engineering, to ensure timely delivery of radiopharmaceuticals for cancer treatment. 
  5. Trained on ALARA principles and isotope-specific safety protocols.

After 6 months you will: 

  1. Manage inventory transactions in the ERP system, including troubleshooting common issues. 
  2. Operate a forklift independently after completing the in-house certification. 
  3. Perform accurate and timely cycle counts with minimal supervision. 
  4. Understand and contribute to improving warehouse workflows, including the movement of materials between facilities. 
  5. Fully integrate in NorthStar's mission to revolutionize oncology treatment by providing patients with global access to game-changing radiopharmaceuticals. 

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum two (2) years of shipping and receiving experience in inventory control, cycle counting, and work order kitting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Experience in Warehouse shipping and receiving in GMP environment, International Shipping preferred

 

***Must pass hazardous material/DOT course within the first 90 days***

Working Conditions

 

This role may involve working in a controlled cleanroom environment, general office setting, or specific manufacturing areas. Conditions may include:

  • Exposure to varying temperatures, both indoors (heated/air-conditioned spaces) and outdoors
  • Noise levels range from quiet to loud, depending on the work area
  • Specific vision abilities, including near vision, visual acuity, and color discrimination

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and may include:

  • Respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and full protective clothing
  • Compliance with cleanroom gowning protocols (e.g., removal of all jewelry, including piercings)
  • Prohibition of cosmetics, fragrances (perfume, aftershave), and nail products, including polish, artificial nails, or extensions

As a radiopharmaceutical manufacturing site, radiation may be present in the laboratory and production areas. Employees in this role may be required to:

  • Follow strict radiation safety procedures
  • Participate in dosimetry monitoring and bioassay testing as part of the company protocol
  • Inform leadership of any health conditions that may affect product integrity, by cleanroom standards
