NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes is a growing, commercial-stage company focused on advancing patient care by providing therapeutic radioisotopes and novel radiopharmaceuticals to detect and treat cancer.

At the forefront of NorthStar’s technological innovation is scientific excellence, using first-in-kind electron accelerator technology and integrated campus capabilities to drive progress in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing. Our work is driven by a meaningful mission—advancing life-saving radiopharmaceutical development and ensuring a reliable supply of critical medical isotopes for patients in need. As a rapidly growing organization operating on the cutting edge of science, we offer exceptional career growth and professional development opportunities, supported by world-class facilities and a competitive benefits package.

Position

The Key Account Manager, Established Accounts owns the commercial success of NorthStar’s current, existing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) customer relationships within the radiopharmaceutical therapy (radioligand therapy / targeted radiotherapeutics) space. This individual serves as the primary commercial point of contact for an assigned portfolio of active biopharma and biotech customers across the development, clinical, and commercial lifecycle of radiotherapeutic and radiodiagnostic programs — from existing clinical-supply agreements through commercial launch and long-term supply.

The Key Account Manager, Established Accounts is accountable for retaining and growing NorthStar’s existing accounts: building executive-level trust, expanding the scope of work within current customer relationships, leading commercial and contract negotiations, and ensuring existing customers experience NorthStar as a strategic, reliable partner for isotope supply, drug substance/drug product manufacturing, and radiopharmaceutical development services. This role is focused on NorthStar’s current CDMO customer base; identifying and closing new-logo customers is owned by the Business Development function.

This role works in close partnership with Program Management, which owns operational execution of customer programs. The Key Account Manager, Established Accounts owns the commercial relationship and growth trajectory of each existing account; Program Management owns delivery against contractual commitments. This role reports to the Senior Director, CDMO.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary commercial lead for assigned CDMO customer accounts, building and maintaining executive-level relationships while acting as the customer's advocate across internal functions.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that align NorthStar's radiopharmaceutical manufacturing, isotope production, development, and commercial capabilities with customer objectives.
  • Drive customer retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth by identifying expansion opportunities, managing account pipelines, and forecasting revenue across existing accounts.
  • Lead commercial negotiations for contracts, pricing, statements of work, renewals, and scope changes in partnership with Finance, Program Management, and senior leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Technical, and Program Management teams to ensure successful customer onboarding, project execution, and delivery of commercial commitments.
  • Lead executive business reviews and support proposal development by providing customer insights, competitive intelligence, and growth strategies.
  • Maintain expertise in the radiopharmaceutical therapy market, industry trends, isotope supply dynamics, and competitive landscape while representing NorthStar at customer meetings, industry conferences, and commercial forums.

Early Development

After 3 months you will:

  • Develop a working understanding of NorthStar’s radiopharmaceutical CDMO capabilities, customer programs, contractual commitments, and key technical, quality, regulatory, and supply-chain considerations.
  • Establish effective working relationships with Program Management, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business Development to clarify responsibilities, handoffs, and escalation pathways.
  • Review assigned customer accounts, including current agreements, program status, revenue expectations, relationship history, risks, and near-term expansion opportunities.

After 6 months you will:

  • Begin developing account plans and customer engagement strategies that support retention, relationship health, and organic growth within the existing CDMO customer base.
  • Build familiarity with NorthStar’s pricing, proposal, change-order, forecasting, and contract-renewal processes to support consistent commercial execution.
  • Participate in customer meetings and Executive Business Reviews to understand customer priorities, strengthen relationships, and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field required.
  • Seven years of experience in key account management or strategic customer relationship management within a CDMO, CMO, pharmaceutical, or biotech environment, with a focus on managing and growing existing customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated track record of retaining and growing revenue within an existing strategic account base and negotiating complex, multi-year commercial agreements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or MS preferred.
  • Prior experience in radiopharmaceuticals, nuclear medicine, radioligand therapy, or a related regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of radiopharmaceutical development and manufacturing, isotope supply chains, GMP requirements, and the regulatory pathway from IND through commercial approval.
